“They come from different career experiences. Among them are lawyers, authors, school founders, leaders of international development programs, dog trainers, financial managers and business owners, both present and retired.
But the founding members of a new mentoring group say they are united in a mission: to find those in need in the community and help them.
The volunteers of the Mentoring Corps for Community Development aim to draw upon their own experiences and skills – or reach out to experts – to help others. They not only assist their hometown of Old Lyme but also forge connections across the state and in Rhode Island.”
